Access Fund Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how Access Fund Management, LLC ("Access Fund Management," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies, browser storage, pixels, and similar technologies on accessfund.vc and related Access Fund pages and forms (collectively, the "Services"). It supplements our Privacy Policy.
1. What These Technologies Are
Cookies are small text files stored by a website in your browser. Browser storage, such as local storage, allows a website to store information on your device. Pixels and similar technologies can record when a page, document, or message is requested. We refer to these technologies collectively as "cookies and similar technologies."
Some cookies are set directly by Access Fund. Others may be set by third-party services when their content or tools are loaded.
2. How We Use Cookies and Similar Technologies
Strictly necessary technologies
These technologies support security, requested access, consent records, and essential functions. They are used regardless of your analytics choice because the Services cannot provide the associated function without them.

Access links and access cookies are not a substitute for protecting confidential information. Do not share an access link or use it on a device you do not trust.
Analytics technologies
First-party site measurement
We measure how our pages are used with PostHog, an analytics service we route through our own domain. This measurement runs on public pages, gated deal pages, our first-party form pages, and pages reached through links we send you, including shared documents, personal invitation links, invite signup pages, shared update pages, and subscribe pages. Access keys contained in those links are removed before any page address is sent to PostHog.
Before you make a cookie choice, or if you decline analytics, this measurement is cookieless: no cookies or persistent browser storage are set. Our server records the page requested, the referring page, campaign parameters, and your browser's user-agent string. To count visits without a cookie, it creates a pseudonymous identifier by hashing your IP address and user agent with a key that changes every day, so the identifier cannot be linked across days. Your IP address reaches PostHog, either sent by our server or relayed through our domain for the PostHog script, only so that PostHog can derive an approximate location (such as country, region, and city); PostHog is configured to discard the IP address after doing so and does not store it. On these pages the PostHog script may also record page interactions such as navigation between pages, time on page, scroll depth, and form steps, including field names and validation errors, but not the values you enter. It does not set cookies or use local storage for this; it may keep a temporary session identifier in your browser's session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we do not perform this measurement on public pages. Opening a link we sent you is recorded as recipient activity, described below, whether or not you have made a cookie choice.
If you accept analytics on a page that offers cookie controls, we set the first-party cookie below so that return visits can be recognized. If you later decline, we delete it. We also set this cookie when you open a link we sent you, as described under "Recipient, message, and document activity" below.

If you have accepted analytics and later submit one of our forms, we store this identifier with your submission in Sparrow CRM and link it, in PostHog, to the contact record created from the form. This lets us understand which pages, campaigns, and visits led to an inquiry. PostHog receives only an internal record identifier for this link, not your name or email address. The identifier is linked to you only after you submit a form or open a link we sent you. We never link the cookieless daily identifier, and for visits to public pages we do not link any identifier if you have declined analytics or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal. With every form submission, whether or not you accepted analytics, we also record available campaign parameters, the referring website, and the landing page. To retain that source while you move between pages, we keep a small source record (af_visit_source_v1) in tab-scoped session storage. It contains campaign and referral tags, the referring website, and the landing path and time, with no visitor identifier or access keys. We stop reusing it after 30 minutes without page or form activity; closing the tab clears the storage.
Google Analytics
With your permission, we use Google Analytics on public routes where cookie controls are available to understand how visitors use the Services, measure campaign and page performance, and improve site content and navigation. Google Analytics may collect device and browser information, approximate location derived from IP address, pages viewed, referring URLs, timestamps, campaign information, and interaction events. Where form analytics are enabled, interaction events may describe form steps, field names, validation errors, time spent, and campaign source. Submitted field values, including intended investment amounts, are not sent to Google Analytics.

Cookie names and durations may change when Google updates its services or when browser settings shorten their lifetime. Google may process analytics information under its own terms and privacy disclosures.
Google Analytics is optional. It loads only on public routes where cookie controls are available and only after measurement consent has been recorded. It does not load on gated deal rooms, invitation pages, shared documents, or focused first-party form routes. Declining analytics does not prevent you from using the public website, submitting a form, or viewing materials you are otherwise authorized to access.
Recipient, message, and document activity
Access Fund may use first-party pixel URLs, tagged links, unique document links, or similar technologies to record that a particular message, page, or shared document was opened or requested. The event may be associated with a recipient or access-link identifier and may include a tag, IP address, user agent, referring URL, and timestamp.
We use this information to deliver requested materials, understand engagement, follow up on investor communications, secure access, and maintain relationship and access records. We also send these events from our servers to PostHog, associated with the internal record identifier of the intended recipient, so that we can understand the full sequence of messages, shared links, documents, site visits, and inquiries for each recipient. When you open a link we sent you, we may set the first-party af_aid cookie described above and associate it with that recipient, so that later visits from the same browser are attributed to the same record. PostHog receives the internal record identifier, not your name or email address, and never the access key. This activity is not controlled by the Google Analytics preference because it relates to a communication or document delivered to an identified or intended recipient rather than general public-site audience measurement. You can usually prevent an email pixel from loading by disabling remote images in your email client, although opening a tagged link or shared document may still create an access event.
Third-party content and services
The Services may embed or link to third-party services, including Typeform, DocSend, YouTube, AngelList, and scheduling providers. A third party may set its own cookies or collect technical and interaction information when you load or interact with its content. Where a third-party service is necessary to provide a form, document, video, scheduling tool, or subscription workflow you request, its own privacy and cookie terms apply.
Access Fund does not control third-party cookie names or retention periods. You should review the privacy and cookie notices of the service you choose to use.
3. Your Choices
Cookie controls
On public pages that offer cookie controls, you may accept or decline analytics. After making a choice, use the Cookie preferences control to review or change it. You may also clear cookies and site data in your browser. Declining analytics turns off Google Analytics and removes the af_aid cookie, so later form submissions on public pages are no longer linked to your visits. Opening a link we sent you is still recorded as recipient activity, described above, and may set the af_aid cookie again for that purpose; the cookieless first-party measurement described above continues, because it stores nothing on your device and does not identify you across days.
Withdrawing consent affects future analytics collection. It does not require deletion of information already processed before withdrawal, although you may submit an applicable privacy request as described in our Privacy Policy.
Browser controls
Most browsers allow you to view, block, or delete cookies and site storage. Blocking strictly necessary cookies or clearing browser storage may cause you to lose saved form progress, cookie preferences, or access to gated materials.
4. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when our technologies, vendors, or legal obligations change. The published Policy will show its latest revision date.
